should people sometimes do things that are not enjoyable
Should people sometimes do something that they are not enjoyingOr should they never take part in such activitiesAs far as I am concerned, I think the first opinion is of more value for things that we do not enjoy are always necessities of our lives.
First of all, it goes beyond doubt that doing something that is not enjoyable may be a way to earn ones living. As is known to all, not all people are satisfied with their present career, in other words, they are not so in favour of the work they are doing. According to statistics of a widespread survey over my country, people in notable number, even has the tendency of increasing express that they do it for the simple reason that they have to. They feel obliged to choose that work to make money. For example, the work for a typist is no more than typing before computers, which is of course boring and repeating. Thus, it is a necessity in people’s lives.
Another compelling reason why I advocate that people should do something they do not
enjoy lies in the fact that they can get better trained in unfavorable activities. Participating in such activities gives us a chance to challenge our courage, our patience and our perseverance, which are all crucial qualities we can benefit from a lot later in our life. One need look no further than extreme sports players as examples. Compared to the professionals, they do it to challenge themselves. It is undeniable that these man with extraordinary courage have pushed the human limits to a new level which we can hardly imagine without them. So challenging and dangerous is this kind of sports that anyone who takes part in is a hero, from whatever perspective. It is these experience that make the players outstanding leaders who can undergo adversities in life more bravely instead of retreating shamefully.
However, a coin has two sides. Beneficial andnecessary as the unenjoyable things may be, its significance should not be exaggerated for it is not without its problems. One of the drawbacks concerns how much of such unenjoyable thing one could stand. As it varies from person to person, there will never be a standard for this. We should carefully control it not to let it disturb our daily life too much to destroy our hope and happiness. In such occasions, unfavorable activities may even be counterproductive.
I sum, according to the forgoing discussion, it is safe to draw a conclusion that taking part in activities we do not enjoy is a necessity in our lives. However, considerable though the
disadvantages that these unenjoyable things may brings about, they cannot compete with the

Choosing whether to buy a house or a business with saved money is a huge decision to make. There aremany benefits to both of choices; however, I think that if I had enough money to buy one or the other, I wouldchoose to buy a house.
When one buys a business, he/she is required to spend long, hard hours to ensure that the business is asuccess. Starting a business is no easy task, and statistics state that half of new businesses fail within the first year.
If one buys a house instead of a business, there is nothing that can fail. A house sometimes requires repairs, butusually such repairs can be done on ones own schedule.
A house is also an excellent investment. With the world population rising as quickly as it is, it is a very goodidea to become a property owner. In the coming years, land will become more and more expensive, and thereforeless attainable. Also, if one buys a house, it is likely that he/she will be able to sell it at a reasonable profit in thefuture. Providing for ones family is very important, and a house is a stable investment for a family.
Finally, owning a house is a good idea because it saves you from giving someone else money every monthfor your rent. Usually, when one buys a house, he/she has a mortgage that he/she must pay off in the coming years.
In most cases, the mortgage costs approximately the same amount of money as renting an apartment. It makesmuch more sense to pay for your own home, rather than adding to the wealth of someone else.
In conclusion, I think it is a far better idea to buy a house rather than a business. A house requires less work,it is an excellent investment, and it allows you to keep your money by spending it on your own assets, rather thansomeone elses. In addition to these reasons, you can also rent out your house to someone else, thus creating anextra source of income for yourself.

When famous people give their opinions, many people listen. Should we pay attention to those remarks?
When Tom Cruise once appeared in a TV program, he was too excited so he jumped up and down the couch. Later jump the couch was adopted in the American dictionary for slang. This is a bit exaggerating, but it definitely reflects the fact that when famous people give their opinions, many people listen. But, should we pay attention to these remarks or actions?
Firstly, famous people are famous, for they have one or few aspects that exceed common people. Like Albert Einstein once said, I think and think for months, for years, ninety-nine times the conclusion false, but the hundredth time I am right. As a brilliant scientist, he speaks of the right attitudes towards science and inspires countless people to fight for the truth. Hollywood actors or actresses, they may talk about their dressing styles or skin cares on magazine. These are all advice that we might as well take, for real life is not just serious academic things but also the satisfaction of living.
But the point is that, celebrities are not perfect role models for the public. Once I heard a story about Einstein, saying that he nearly got into the water when he once harassed a young lady and got refused when they were in a boat in a park. Is Einstein evil somehow? No! He’s just being human. Then is it wrong to harass ladies? Yes. But all humans make mistakes. Celebrities are experts in certain areas but not all. In some other fields, they should even learn from us.
Generally, there are two extremes when talking about celebrities: the public are either too critical or too superstitious. Objectively, both of the attitudes are unnecessary. As a Chinese saying which generalizes this situation the best goes: to take in the good, while to get rid of the bad.

With a population accounting nearly for one quarter of the world population, my country, China, has beensuffering from serious loss of arable land, which now hardly accounts for 7% of overall arable land of the world.Yet some people simply do not realize that land loss is so crucial that we one day might incapable of averting thatcatastrophe if we now close our eyes to it.
Industrial development without careful consideration regarding land preservation has caused problems moreserious than people can ever imagine. Take the great Three Gorges dam for example, which will be put intooperation next year. While the country benefits from gargantuan potential of electricity generation, we have to faceup to various environmental conservation issues concerning geological and ecological environment along bothriver sides and whole upper reaches. The professional designers of the great dam now have to work out a practicalway to prevent and remedy pollution effectively, which has already been the focus of world attention.
After the entrance of the WTO, industry development is more and more important for our country, yet weshould be careful about the pollution which is inevitably caused by industry. Recent surveys have shown that refusetreatment engineering is not well financed in China, while attentions are drawn to those much more obviousachievements. Industrial pollution accidents occur far more frequently in our still developing country than in othermore advanced countries. Urban population also produce astoundingly large amount of pollution. Today thealleged white pollution is creeping all over the country—people throw plastic bags, films everywhere, neverfeeling anything wrong.
We no doubt need land either for natural condition or for industry, and it seems we need more if possible.Nevertheless, we live in a world where everything has its cost, and some day in the future, I believe, we willinescapably pay for what we have ignored.

The Internet has many great uses, but, as anything else, negative things can be done there as well. The beauty of the Internet is that it is so large that it’s nearly impossible to keep track of what bad things everyone is doing.
A few examples are someone can steal a cell phone and then by using the Internet, they can reprogram the telephone to work off someone’s account and not be traced. Other examples are the pirates of software. Someone can get a program that Microsoft sells for about one thousand dollars for free and it can’t be traced. There is another fact that nearly anything can be traded online, like drugs, weapons such as high power guns, bombs, and the list for these items goes on and on. One of the worst things that the police really want to get their hands on is Child Pornography. It is not so hard to keep track of when people had to go out and hand deliver this stuff, but through the Internet the scum who partake in this don’t have to leave their homes.
A big problem is the fact that underage kids can see what they are not meant to. This does not just end up back at porn though; there are images of extreme violence on humans and animals.

When we see photographs of starving children, it’s hard to say that we should spend billions of dollars on space exploration. But that’s just what we should do. Children don’t need to be starving, but we do need to explore space. Right now, we have enough money to feed every person on Earth. Children are starving because of mismanagement of resources and simple human greed. Those are problems we can solve right here on earth. That shouldn’t stop our need to find out what’s beyond our own solar system.
We may never make contact with whatever other species there may be out there in space. Even so, there are still two very practical and positive consequences of space exploration. One is a certainty and the other is a possibility. The certainty is medical research. Yes, we can conduct research here on earth. But much of the research done in space, for example, on the effects of gravity on bone marrow, is making a difference in medicine here on Earth. When we do research in space, we also learn more about space exploration. Also, many of the inventions that were developed for space travel have been adapted to good use on Earth.
The possible consequence of space exploration is finding another planet human beings can colonize. Overpopulation is a huge problem on our planet. People are living longer, more healthful lives, and that’s a good thing. But it means there are fewer people dying and more people being born. Eventually we’ll have less space, fewer resources, and major distribution problems. If we can find another planet to live on, we can relieve the problems of overpopulation on our planet.
It’s a tragedy that there are human beings suffering on Earth. However, if we wait until everyone has a perfect life, we will never explore space—and that , too, would be a kind of tragedy.

Both the countryside and an urban environment have many things to offer. Many important museums and cultural venues can be found in the city. There is also often good access to educational resources and a wide variety of job opportunities. However, the countryside offers a more relaxed and peaceful way of life. Communities are often close-knit and secure. Although both environments offer good opportunities for development, it is my opinion that life in the countryside is more beneficial for children.
One important advantage of raising children in the countryside is that the environment is cleaner and healthier. With fresh air to breathe, less crowded living conditions, and more chances to take part in physical exercise, children in the country are usually healthier than those in the city. Another advantage of country living is safety. There is not only less crime in the countryside, but also fewer traffic accidents. Parents do not need to worry so much when their children are playing outside. A third advantage is the stronger sense of community in the country. Children know their neighbors and learn to care about others at an early age. Finally, a country upbringing allows children to experience a more natural environment without all the distractions of entertainment places in the city. Thus, they can concentrate on their schoolwork and their families.
Due to the great number of advantages in raising children in the country, I believe it is better for children to grow up there rather than in a city. Without all the dangers and distractions of city life, they will grow up healthier and better grounded in the moral values of their culture.
